The Roost Dominator Titanium stem is an absolute masterpiece, crafted out of a chunk of billet G5 titanium, also known as 6AL-4V. G5 is well known for its high strength, low density, and corrosion-resistant properties.
G5 titanium (often found in parts for F1 racing, gas turbines, aerospace, etc.) is also used in sections of our frames for extra strength and stiffness. Many Titanium MTB stems are mostly made from G9 titanium tubes welded together, which results in a not-so-sexy-looking tuby thing that handles like a wet noodle.
We wanted to design a stem that was not only the sexiest on the market but also delivered performance, quality, and bling like all Roost Bike products. It has a straight 35mm or 42.5mm reach and is available in both 31.8mm and 35mm clamp sizes fiting a standard 1-1/8″ steerer tube.
New 42.5mm Reach Stem Option
Based on the popularity of our 35mm stem, some of our customers wanted a slightly longer reach. We designed a new 42.5mm version which is an extension of the original design. It has the same rigid feel and stiffness with that raw Ti industrial finish.
The Full Ti Cockpit
Get that full titanium cockpit by pairing the Dominator Ti stem with one of our flat, 20mm rise or 30mm rise Ti handlebars. This gives you an beautiful compliant feeling when belting through the rough stuff – but you also get a very direct steering response when torqueing the bars trough a turn or climbing out of the saddle.
