Warranty
Roost Bike will repair, refund, or replace at its option any frame or Component made by Roost Bike that it determines to be defective in materials or workmanship. The warranty will be in effect as per the periods listed above and is available only to the original owner. All other owners will be entitled to a 12-month warranty from the date of original purchase from Roost Bike.
Frame Warranty Registration. (Frames only)
To be able to make a warranty claim you will need to register you frame within 21 days of the delivery date. All frames not registered will be covered under our 12-month warranty. Once the warranty form is submitted you will receive an automated email with the Roost Bike full warranty information and conditions.
Replacement (Crash warranty) 5 years.
In the event of a non-warranty situation also known as “crash warranty” Roost Bike will make replacement products available to the original owner at the current wholesale price for the applicable warranty period described above. A crash warranty is also available for non-original owners of frames only up to 5 years of the original purchase date of the original owner. All freight, taxes etc are the responsibility of the purchaser. Under a crash warranty the original frame will need to be returned to Roost Bike and any other products we will need detailed photos and the old product destroyed.
Limitations, Exclusions, and Disclaimers
The sole remedy available under the foregoing express warranty and all implied warranties is the repair or replacement of defective parts with those of equal or greater value, as determined by Roost Bike in its sole discretion. The warranty does not cover labour costs, custom finishes, normal wear and tear, freight, international customs or taxes, or damage from commercial use. The warranty is void if the part is modified from its original condition in any manner or used outside normal intended use, as determined by Roost Bike in its sole discretion. Warranty is void if items are fitted outside the recommendations ie fork travel 140mm max for wheel size 29 and 150mm max travel wheels size 27.5 on some models. The warranty for damage arising from accidents, crashes and other impacts is limited to offered replacement at a reduced charge as set forth above. Any implied warranties (including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and fitness for particular purpose) which may not be disclaimed under applicable Australian law are limited in duration to the period set forth above or the applicable statute of limitations, whichever is shorter.
The foregoing warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty offered by Roost Bike. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Australian law, all other express and implied warranties (including without limitation the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) are hereby disclaimed. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Australian law, in no event shall Roost Bike or any of its owners, officers, employees, representatives, agents, or affiliates (or any of their respective successors or assigns) be responsible or otherwise liable for any direct, incidental or consequential damages arising from the purchase, use, or ownership of its products, including without limitation damages for personal injury, property damage, or economic losses, whether based on contract, warranty, negligence, product liability, or any other theory.
Some states and countries do not allow some or all of the foregoing exclusions or limitations, so they may not apply to you. If any portion of the foregoing warranty (or the exclusions or limitations thereto) is deemed invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, it shall be deemed modified so as to be valid and enforceable to the maximum extent consistent with such law. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state and country to country.
This Warranty Does Not Cover
Normal wear and tear, Improper assembly, Improper maintenance, Installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold, damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect. Labour charges for part replacement or changeover, Freight charges, customs duty, fees or taxes, or Roost Bike products used for commercial use.
How to make a Warranty Claim
Contact Roost Bike direct admin@roostbike.com or your nearest authorised dealer with details of your claim. In your first email include.
- Your name and contact details.
- Date of purchase.
- Who you purchased the product from.
- Your frames serial number.
- Photos of the claim including the serial number.
- Proof of purchase.
- Copy of proof of warranty registration email.
Remember that this warranty is personal to you and only applies to the original purchaser and cannot be assigned and that proof of purchase and completion of our warranty registration card is required. All other owners are coved for warranty claims up to 12 months from the original purchase date.
